If you like Procol Harum you might like listening to Robin Trower, He was the guitar player for that band. He is a lot like hendrix but in my opinion hes better. Some good songs by him are day of the eagle and too rolling stoned. I also recommend Rush, their my favorite band. Some sings you might like from them are 2112, subdivisions, limelight, closer to the heart, and spirit of the radio.

he is basically THE guy & band to go for if your looking for rock/blues, basically he is the hendrix of rock/blues.
eric burdon from the animals performed with him alot.
muddy waters,pete townshend, eric clapton, jimmy page all did recordings with him/gigs.
lennon loved his power trio band Taste who stole the isle of wright festival off Hendrix & the who.
Rolling stones wanted him in their band etc etc etc the list goes on
