Plot: Meet Roy and Frank, a couple of professional small-time con artists. What Roy, a veteran of the grift, and Frank, his ambitious protege, are swindling these days are “water filtration systems,” bargain-basement water filters bought by unsuspecting people who pay ten times their value in order to win bogus prizes like cars, jewelry and overseas vacations—which they never collect. These scams net the flim-flam men a few hundred here, another thousand there, which eventually adds up to a lucrative partnership. Roy’s private life, however, is not so successful. An obsessive-compulsive agoraphobe with no personal relationships to call his own, Roy is barely hanging on to his wits, and when his idiosyncrasies begin to threaten his criminal productivity he’s forced to seek the help of a psychoanalyst just to keep him in working order. While Roy is looking for a quick fix, his therapy begets more than he bargained for: the revelation that he has a teenage daughter—a child whose existence he suspected but never dared confirm. What’s more troubling, 14-year-old Angela wants to meet the father she never knew. At first, Angela’s appearance disrupts her neurotic father’s carefully ordered routine. Soon, however, with his own unique spin on parenthood, Roy begins to enjoy a relationship he never dreamed of having with his daughter. But while he develops paternal feelings for the 14-year-old, she’s developing a fascination with Daddy’s questionable career.

Plot: The wide generation gap between Tess Coleman (Jamie Lee Curtis) and her teenage daughter Anna (Lindsay Lohan) is more than evident. They simply cannot understand each other’s preferences. On a Thursday night they have a big argument in a Chinese restaurant. Both receive a fortune cookie each from the restaurant owner’s mother which causes them to switch bodies next day. As they adjust with their new personalities, they begin to understand each other more and eventually it’s the mutual self-respect that sorts the things out.

Plot: When prospective fathers-in-law Steve Tobias and Jerry Peyser meet for the first time to celebrate their children’s upcoming marriage, the cake hits the fan. Dr. Jerome Peyser is a mild-mannered podiatrist with a well-organized daily routine designed to eliminate all possible sources of stress. Meanwhile, daredevil CIA operative Steve Tobias moves through life like a heat-seeking missile. His average day consists of dodging bullets, stealing private jets and negotiating with international arms smugglers. Now he’s giving potential father-of-the-bride Jerry a serious case of pre-nuptial jitters. Steve’s dramatic entrances and exits, his cryptic references to a Russian runaway named Olga and his fight with a gunman in a restaurant washroom causes Jerry to see a vision of his daughter’s perfectly planned wedding blowing up in his face. As far as Jerry’s concerned, letting Steve into his family takes til death do us part way too literally. Before he can say the wedding is off, Jerry suddenly finds himself embroiled in the chaos that follows in Steve’s wake as he is dragged kicking and screaming into a series of perilous adventures that take the mismatched in-laws-to-be halfway around the world.

Why does my husband always stick up for them?
To cut a long story short. My husbands brother and his wife dont like me very much.
When my husband and i were dating, his brother told me once there were 2 girls i didnt know about. I asked my man about it and he said it wasnt true and he didnt even fall out with his brother over it. I think his brother was trying to make me paranoid. One weekend he also said something out of line to me and his wife was giving me dirty looks etc. My husband was in the room when he said it but claimed he ever heard him say anything to me. Also his wife doesnt get on with me. Even though i made a huge effort with her when i first met her by inviting her to my hen night, she in turn DIDNT invite me to hers. The other week we were all at my mans mums for tea. The brother and sister in law never spoke to me the full night but were more than happy to speak to my husband and she was happy to smile away at my husband. My husband never does a thing about this and im sick of it. In my opinion if they dont accept me, then my husband should be going mad about it, especially not sticking up for them all the time.
Its getting to the stage that the brother will come over to our house to see my man and just ‘put up’ with me to see him. His wife never comes over with him - she goes out with her sisters instead or a friend. She obviously doesnt want to come over to my house because of me.
So my husband and i were talking about it and even though iv made a huge effort with them, i was explaining how they didnt speak to me at his mums. Then he turned around and said ‘well did you speak to her’. I was going mad! Im always the one making the effort with them and he blames it all on me! He will ALWAYS stick up for them!
I wouldnt be surprised if hes got a thing for his sister in law. He told me when we were dating that she had sex appeal with her hair, the way she is etc. Now he is always sticking up for her and his brother when iv done everything i can to be nice to them and he knows that.
What am i supposed to do?
The whole thing is a mess!
I should point out iv moved away from my family and friends to be with him. He is the main part in my life and he is putting them before me after me doing so much for him.
